Mexico .- Netflix has announced the cancellation of The Society and Esta Mierda Me Supera; both series would premiere their second season on the famous platform of streaming .
The decision caused controversy in social networks, The filming of the first one was about to begin, while the scripts were being finished for the second.
“ We have made the difficult decision not to continue with the second seasons of 'The Society' and 'This M… It surpasses me'. We are disappointed to have to make these decisions due to the circumstances created by Covid-19, and we are very grateful to its creators, including Jonathan Entwistle, Christy Hall, Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen, and Josh Barry 21 Laps Entertainment for 'Esta M… Me Supera', Chris Keyser, Marc Webb and Pavlina Hatoupis for 'The Society', and all the scriptwriters, actors and teams that worked tirelessly to make these series for all our members around the world ”, Netflix mentioned in a statement.
Experts point out that the main culprit is not so much the coronavirus, but the protection measures necessary to film, as they were going to lead to an unexpected increase in its budget.
