The app has barely been able to attract a few users around, so the community giant is retiring it more quickly.
Facebook's challenger, a hobbyist named Facebook's Hobby, wasn't long-lived, and the company released an experimental app in February this year that allowed users to document and share their hobby projects true to the app's name. However, after less than half a year, Facebook has now mowed down the project, which the company announced in a push notification to a handful of users. According to TechCrunch data, the app has managed to collect barely 7-10,000 downloads since its launch, which is not surprising based on the fact that Facebook didn’t see the point in making further efforts to improve the Hobby. The service pulls down the blind on July 10, and uploaded projects can be exported by users in the settings.
