Google Maps returns to Apple's smartwatches, and with that momentum, it also finds its way to the company's CarPlay Dashboard car interface. Previously, as an add-on to Google Maps for iOS, the map was now available for Apple Watch watches, but the search giant removed it from watchOS three years ago without much fuss.
Neither Google nor Apple has not revealed exactly when the Apple Watch map app will arrive, the former has only said it can be expected in the coming weeks. The app promises the company will offer detailed navigation options whether you are walking, biking, driving, or traveling on public transportation.
To use the application to the full, you will still need Google Maps by phone, because while you can start navigating to saved places, such as home or work, from the Apple Watch interface, you will need to use the connected phone to enter new destinations – of course then the clock will navigate to the latter as well. With the start of the solution, Google doesn't theorize much in this case, it will be available to everyone these days.
