Caracas, Sep 15 (Sputnik) .- The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced on Tuesday that as of October 5, schools and high schools will open as care centers to support parents and students during the days of easing of the quarantine due to covid-19.
«I have decided as of Monday, October 5, to open lyceums and schools as assistance centers for parents and students, schools will be open for the corresponding seven days of relaxation, including Saturday and Sunday, “said Maduro through the channel of the Venezuelan State of Television.
The activities of the 2020-2021 school year will begin remotely this Wednesday, September 16 to avoid contagion by covid-19.
Maduro indicated that this decision was taken after evaluating that the conditions to restart activities in the classrooms are not in place.
However, he explained, the idea of opening the doors of educational facilities is for students to Unless they can meet the “teachers, hand over the materials, and establish a closer relationship.”
The president pointed out that pedagogical advisory points will be installed in the centers with the proper biosecurity measures, to advise representatives and students.  Maduro explained that in the first place they will begin the classes of primary, special and initial education and of the entire university system, while on the first of October the students of secondary and technical education will begin school activities.
