According to the manufacturer, the device sterilizes the devices in 10 minutes
In order to curb the continuing global coronavirus epidemic, regular, thorough hand washing and frequent disinfection of our frequently seized items have been a major focus in recent months. most people have a good chance of topping their list. Samsung would now use a new device to help with increased hygiene precautions: its latest, globally available wireless charger also disinfects smartphones with UV light while charging.
Of course, the company does not specifically address whether the device, reminiscent of a box with a lid that can be closed on the outside, actually destroys the corona virus that grows on the surface of smartphones, but highlights that UV light does 99 percent of the bacteria. It takes 10 minutes to fully sterilize your phone while charging it wirelessly at 10 watts. The internal dimensions of the charging box are 196x96x33 millimeters, so it can even fit phones with a seven-inch screen. The charger has already appeared at European retailers and is available in Germany for around € 58.
