Mexico .- Internet Explorer was one of the browsers that was undoubtedly one of the most used when the Internet became popular. After almost 25 years of this, Microsoft has announced that the browser will come to an end by ceasing to function forever.
It was through a statement where it was announced that Internet Explorer will come to an end next August 2021.
Since the default browser of Windows 10 was Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer began a very notorious slide. Now, Microsoft's statement has given an ultimatum to both this browser and the Edge Legacy.
It should be remembered that Microsoft Edge Legacy -also known as Project Spartan-, was replaced in favor of Chromium a few years ago and, although these two browsers were kept active to give life to a few applications, this will no longer be the case.
That is why Microsoft 365 applications and services, OneDrive Outlook and more will no longer be compatible with Internet Explorer as of 17 August 2021, that is exactly one year. But on November 30, Microsoft Teams will give the starting signal for it to stop being compatible with IE11.
